I was riding on my around town bike today doing some hill work, I didn't have my road bike with me; the bike has no cleats or a cage. I was messing around with foot positions since the bike is not geared for what I was doing. I tried positioning my heel all the way forward and then precede to move them back , And I got to say I felt more energy when my foot was positioned with the arch and heal over the center of the pedal than I did with normal foot position.
Has anyone tried to move the cleat back and what results have you noticed?

Re: Cleat position
Fri, June 12, 2009 - 3:05 AMI just read that a germon company is making cleats at the heal of the shoe. Test were done showing more power and longer rides when the cleat is set at the bact than ball of the foot. i tried this just for fun and it felt great. no cleats though just my heel.
